Football development in French Polynesia has seen recognition from FIFA for the Tahitian Football Federation’s (FTF) efforts to overcome geographical and topographical challenges through infrastructure investment and training programs.

Following these developmental efforts, the FTF launched the Pôle Excellence – Jeunes Féminines season in Pirae. This program targets U14, U15, and U16 female players to prepare them for high-level competition and national representation.
