The 2026 Taichung International Flower Carpet Festival, held in the Xinshe District, celebrates its 15th anniversary with a “Dessert Kingdom” theme. In collaboration with Sanrio, the event features seven character zones, including Hello Kitty and Cinnamoroll, utilizing over 110,000 flowers across 2 hectares.

A central highlight is a 19-meter-tall dessert castle titled “Honey Encounter,” which serves as a musical box theater. To promote sustainability, the festival incorporates floral works made from recycled materials by local kindergartens and senior centers. The city has also implemented transportation support through five free shuttle bus routes connecting the festival to major transit systems.
