By early September, further violations were reported involving products from Japan, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Japanese sea laver from Feng Yu Trading Co., Ltd. exceeded legal limits for inorganic arsenic, prompting inspection rates of 20% to 50% for such products. Malaysian palm oil from Qi Fu Food Co., Ltd. was found to contain the Class 2 carcinogen glycidyl fatty acid esters, leading to mandatory batch-by-batch inspections. Additionally, Hong Kong seasonings from Cheng Ying Co., Ltd. tested positive for the prohibited coloring agent Sudan Red I, resulting in a mandate for 100% testing for Sudan Red in seasonings from Hong Kong.

Subsequent reports identified 456 kilograms of US beef tongue imported by Shusen Development Co., Ltd. containing the parasite ‘Sarcocystis’, requiring the products to be returned or destroyed and triggering a 100% inspection rate for that importer. Vietnamese seasoning sauce from Dingxun International Co., Ltd. also tested positive for Sudan Red I, leading to a 100% inspection protocol for similar products. Finally, baking paper from China imported by Taiwan Good Life International Co., Ltd. failed evaporation residue tests, exceeding the legal limit by 42 ppm and resulting in a 100% inspection status for the importer.
