Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor has extended its ‘Employment Stability Measures’ through October 31, 2025, to support workers in nine specific sectors facing economic challenges. These industries include food and feed manufacturing, textiles, rubber, plastics, metal products, electrical equipment, machinery, and automotive parts manufacturing.

Under the program, eligible workers who agree to reduced working hours for at least 30 days can receive a monthly wage difference subsidy of up to 11,500 TWD. To complement these subsidies, the Ministry is promoting a ‘Recharge Program for Workers on Reduced Hours,’ which offers vocational training to encourage professional skill development. While workers in the nine targeted industries can access both subsidies and training, those in other sectors remain eligible to participate in training programs to receive monthly allowances of up to 16,300 TWD.
