Taiwan celebrated its National Day, also known as the Double Ten Festival, with an official reception in Paraguay. The celebrations included diplomatic events and public cultural displays in Asuncion, featuring Taiwanese gastronomy, music, and crafts.

Subsequent commemorations included a solemn ceremony and floral offering at the National Pantheon of Heroes in Asuncion. These events highlighted 69 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations between the two nations, established in 1957. Paraguay remains the only South American country to maintain official ties with Taiwan. Bilateral cooperation continues through various economic, agricultural, and educational initiatives, such as the ‘Che Tapýi’ social housing program and the Taiwan-Paraguay Polytechnic University.
