The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured their first victory of the season with a 24-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys. During this game, rookie Jalon Daniels led the offense in the absence of Baker Mayfield, while running back Bucky Irving recorded 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Later in the season, the Buccaneers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 in driving rain. The team set an NFL milestone by winning without completing a single pass, with Baker Mayfield finishing 0 for 3. This marks the first time a team has won a game with zero completions since the Buffalo Bills did so in 1974.

The victory was driven by a record 324 rushing yards, led by Bucky Irving with 170 yards and one touchdown. The ground game was supported by Kenny Gainwell, who added 140 yards. Defensively, the Buccaneers forced four interceptions from Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr., with Alex Anzalone, Jacob Parrish, and Zyon McCollum each recording an interception. Kicker Chase McLaughlin provided scoring via three field goals. This win brought the Buccaneers to a 3-5 record.
