Sources: 59. Developments: 5. The Tampa Bay Lightning have maintained strong momentum in the NHL, recently defeating the Vegas Golden Knights 6-2 in Las Vegas. Anthony Cirelli scored twice, with additional goals from Brandon Hagel, Victor Hedman, and John Carlson. This victory improved the Lightning to a 7-2 record, marking their strongest start since the 2020-21 season. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy made 32 saves during the contest. A significant milestone occurred during the win against Vegas, as Nikita Kucherov recorded three points. This performance brought his career regular-season total to 1,137, tying him with Steven Stamkos for the most career points in Tampa Bay Lightning franchise history. Kucherov has now recorded at least one point in all 15 games played against the Golden Knights. This success follows a 4-2 rally against the Vancouver Canucks at Benchmark International Arena, where Kucherov’s two goals helped overcome an early 2-0 deficit. That victory, which included a decisive goal by Jake Guentzel and a sealer from Pontus Holmberg, improved the team to a 5-0 home record. Prior to that stretch, the Lightning secured an overtime win against the Seattle Kraken and a 5-3 victory over the New York Islanders, highlighted by a Brandon Hagel hat trick. ## Claims - The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-2.
