The Tan Dinh neighborhood in Ho Chi Minh City has been ranked 12th in Time Out magazine’s 2026 list of the 40 coolest neighborhoods in the world. This recognition makes Tan Dinh the only representative from Vietnam in the global rankings.

The ranking, determined by an editorial board and local experts, prioritizes dining, nightlife, independent businesses, and community spirit over mere tourist volume. Tan Dinh’s placement ranks it ahead of several other major Asian districts, including Talat Noi in Bangkok, Jalan Besar in Singapore, and Changning in Shanghai.

Key features noted in the area include the historic Tan Dinh Church, the Tan Dinh Market, and a diverse culinary scene. The top global position was awarded to the Jongno 3-ga neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea.
