Frontier Works and TV Tokyo have announced a television anime adaptation of the manga series ‘Tanuki to Kitsune’ by Atamoto. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on the TV Tokyo network on October 4, 2026.

Akatsuki Media Studio will handle the animation production. In conjunction with the broadcast, a new manga volume titled ‘Tanuki to Kitsune Yurutto 2’ is set for release on October 15, 2026, which will include 61 pages of newly drawn content. TV Tokyo also noted plans to expand the character brand ‘Peropero ★ Sparkles’ by illustrator Yurie Sekiya through a planned anime adaptation.
