Following his signing with the Dallas Mavericks, former Fenerbahce player Tarik Biberovic expressed that joining the NBA has been a “long-held dream.” Biberovic noted that his transition was aided by his relationship with General Manager Mike Schmitz and advice from former NBA players in the EuroLeague.

Despite roster constraints and speculation that he might be waived to create space for veteran Dwight Powell, reports indicate the Mavericks have no intention of releasing the Turkish forward. Biberovic is reportedly “highly valued by the organization” and remains a priority for the team to retain despite the difficulty of managing 15 guaranteed contracts.
