During the 20th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Amateur Sports Clubs Confederation (TASKK) in Ankara, Şener Aydın was re-elected as president with 481 votes, defeating challenger Yaşar Zımba.

The assembly was characterized by tension regarding the membership status of the Ankara Amateur Sports Clubs Federation (Ankara ASKF), which was expelled from the confederation roughly three years ago. A majority vote rejected a proposal to reinstate the federation's membership, leading to heated arguments that required security personnel to maintain order.
