The TECNO POVA 8 series rollout, which began with a focus on Saudi Arabia and a partnership with gaming influencer Bandar Medkhali, has progressed to its official unveiling and market launch. 

The flagship Pova 8 Pro 5G features an “interstellar spaceship” design with a semi-transparent back and the “Alive Matrix” (or Matrix Viva) lighting—a customizable Mini LED dot matrix display integrated into the rear triangular camera module that reacts to notifications, music, or in-game actions. To support high-performance gaming, the device utilizes a dual-chip architecture, pairing a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset with a proprietary P1 graphics chip to enable up to 144 fps. Hardware includes a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display (144 Hz, 4,500 nits peak brightness) protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, a 50 MP Sony LYTIA 700C main sensor, and a 6,500 mAh battery with 45 W charging. The device also includes a customizable ‘One-Tap’ button for quick functions and holds high durability ratings including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K.

Following its initial unveiling, the Pova 8 Pro 5G officially launched in India. It is available in Arc White, Graphite Black, and Tundra Green, with pricing starting at 49,999 rupees. Sales in the Indian market are scheduled to begin on August 21 via Flipkart. The device runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. A limited Tonino Lamborghini edition featuring an exclusive black design is also part of the series.
