# Teenage Fanclub album release announcement

Scottish indie rock band Teenage Fanclub announced their thirteenth studio album, ‘Do Not Dare To Dream’, which is scheduled for release on October 9 through Merge Records.

The album follows their 2023 release, ‘Nothing Lasts Forever’. It was recorded at Black Bay Studio and features ten tracks. The band has released singles including ‘Day In The Sun’ and ‘There Was You’. 

Vocalist Norman Blake stated the title track’s refrain, ‘I Do Not Dare To Dream’, reflects a sceptical view of clichéd optimism, while band member Raymond McGinley noted the songs remain ‘cheerful and optimistic in the face of things not being great.’ The band plans to support the release with a tour in the UK and Ireland in November.
