The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has conducted several operations targeting municipal officials for bribery related to construction permissions.

On September 30, the ACB arrested two Moinabad municipal officials, including a Town Planning Officer and a Senior Assistant, for allegedly accepting a ₹75,000 bribe. The funds were reportedly demanded to avoid taking coercive action against a construction project by failing to classify it as an illegal structure.

On October 5, the ACB apprehended a Town Planning Supervisor for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) in the Golkonda Zone. The official allegedly demanded ₹8 lakh and was caught accepting a partial payment of ₹4 lakh to facilitate building permissions and bypass existing orders. During the operation, officials also seized ₹2.5 lakh in unaccounted cash.
