Telangana Director General of Police C. V. Anand has implemented several measures to enhance public safety and police operations. Following high-profile crimes, including a child murder and an arms heist, the DGP ordered intensified patrolling and increased use of technology-driven urban policing within the Malkajgiri Commissionerate. This included directives for gated communities to strengthen CCTV surveillance and efforts to target property offenses linked to organized gangs.

Subsequently, during Police Commemoration Week, the department expanded its focus toward community engagement and emergency response. Initiatives included blood donation drives across Hyderabad and the deployment of new vehicles under the Spandana initiative to improve response times for women’s safety and child protection calls. Additionally, the department emphasized the role of its publication, Suraksha, in bridging communication gaps with the public and countering misinformation through fact-checking.
