The Telangana state government is preparing to host the ‘Raksha Expo’ from December 7 to 9, 2026, as a central component of the Invest Telangana Global Summit in Bharat Future City.

Initial preparations involved Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy meeting with Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to request Ministry of Defence cooperation. These requests included securing airspace clearances for an air show and seeking participation from the Indian Air Force, specifically the Surya Kiran and Sarang aerobatic teams.

The expo is designed to showcase the state’s capabilities in the aerospace, defence, and space sectors. It will feature industrial exhibitions, live demonstrations of land-based systems, and a startup showcase arena. The event highlights Hyderabad’s role as a major aerospace hub, noting the presence of significant maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities for Boeing, Airbus, and Rafale engines.
