The project aims to honor the studio’s legacy and prepare for the sequel, ‘The Wolf Among Us 2’. Initial details indicated that the remaster would feature rebuilt character models, updated textures, refined animations, and new lighting, while preserving the original story and visual identity. Subsequent updates revealed additional features, including an optional ‘noir mode’ for a high-contrast black and white experience, five previously cut playable scenes, over an hour of behind-the-scenes interviews, and a gallery of more than 100 pieces of concept art. On October 16, 2026, Telltale Games announced an indefinite delay for the Nintendo Switch version of the title. The studio stated that additional time is required to complete optimization and ensure the experience meets player expectations for that console. While the Switch release is postponed, the launch schedule for other platforms remains unchanged; the game is still set to release on October 29, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-16: Telltale Games delays The Wolf Among Us Remastered on Nintendo Switch Telltale Games has indefinitely delayed The Wolf Among Us Remastered on Nintendo Switch to focus on optimization, though other platforms remain scheduled for an October 29, 2026 release. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/telltale-games-delays-the-wolf-among-us-remastered-on-nintendo-switch ### 2026-10-14: Telltale reveals The Wolf Among Us Remastered features and release date Telltale announced ‘The Wolf Among Us Remastered’, featuring high-resolution graphics, a black-and-white noir mode, and five new playable scenes.
