The 36th edition of the Tenorio Mendocino theatrical festival is scheduled for October 31 and November 1 in Guadalajara. The production, based on the work of José Zorrilla, will utilize local historical monuments such as the Plaza de Santa María and the Palacio del Infantado as stages.

Organized by the Asociación Cultural Gentes de Guadalajara with support from municipal and regional authorities, the event features a cast of both professional and amateur performers. This year’s production includes Goya Award winner Laura Galán and introduces new staging elements in the palace gardens and entrance hall. As a prelude to the main event, the city has launched the Jornadas Mendocinas, a series of historical theatrical tours through key local sites.
