Ternana has advanced through the early stages of the Coppa Italia Serie D. In a round of 32 match, the team secured a 5-1 victory over Recanatese. Sporting director Massimo Andreatini noted a technical gap between the sides, describing the matchup as pitting Primavera 1 players against a Juniores squad.

Following that win, Ternana defeated Prato 2-1 in an away match at the Lungobisenzio stadium to qualify for the round of 16. The victory, which included a header from Ndongue before halftime and a goal from Barbini shortly after the break, marked the eighth consecutive positive result for the team under manager Barillari. Ternana is scheduled to face the winner of the match between Siena and Ancona in the next round.
