Tesla Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen has acquired the first unit of the limited Model S Plaid Signature Edition, identified as chassis #001. This vehicle is part of a restricted production run of 250 units available exclusively via invitation to selected customers and brand veterans.

The Signature Edition features a Garnet Red exterior with gold badging and calipers, a design choice intended to pay homage to the original 2012 Signature Red color. Mechanically, the car utilizes a tri-motor setup producing approximately 1,020 horsepower. 

To preserve the vehicle as a collector’s item, von Holzhausen sent the car to Unplugged Performance in Hawthorne, California, for a comprehensive protection program. This process included chemical decontamination, paint protection film, ceramic coating for the body and wheels, and UV-protective window film.
