Sararat Rangsiwuthaporn, known as ‘Am Cyanide’, has received death sentences from Thailand’s Criminal Court in connection with multiple murder cases involving cyanide poisoning.

In one ruling, the court sentenced her for the murder of Darinee ‘Fah’ Thepwi, alleging that Rangsiwuthaporn mixed potassium cyanide into consumable products to avoid a debt of approximately 60,000 baht. Medical evidence indicated the victim suffered total organ failure.

In a subsequent verdict, the court sentenced her to death for the 2022 murder of Chantarat Wongkraisin. The court found that Rangsiwuthaporn used cyanide under the guise of providing medicine for COVID-19 symptoms during a meeting at a gas station. Evidence in this case included telephone records and money transfer slips.

Rangsiwuthaporn faces a total of 15 criminal cases, including allegations of 14 murders and one attempted murder. While she has maintained her innocence, her legal counsel has indicated intentions to appeal the verdicts.
