Thailand is preparing to host the Global Wellness Summit 2026 in Phuket, focusing on integrating traditional wisdom with modern science and technology. The Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine aims to showcase Thai massage and herbal medicine to create high-value products for the international market.

To support this, the ‘Phuket Wellness Routes’ initiative has been launched. This project seeks to combine nature, spas, healthy cuisine, and local lifestyles into a comprehensive experience. The initiative is designed to distribute economic benefits across the value chain, supporting local farmers, herbal producers, and tourism communities as Thailand leverages its growing wellness tourism sector.
