The original developers of the 1988 action-adventure game ‘The Battle of Olympus’ have announced a remake of the title. The project is being led by the original programming and graphics duo, Yukio and Reiko Horimoto, through the revived studio Infinity Co.

Rather than a simple port, the developers are rebuilding the game’s code from scratch and redrawing the pixel art to refine the experience for modern players while maintaining the original atmosphere. The remake is scheduled to enter Early Access on Steam in January 2027. The Early Access version is expected to contain the full content of the original NES release, with a subsequent development phase planned for 12 to 18 months.
