Amazon MGM Studios has announced the sequel to the 2024 action thriller, ‘The Beekeeper 2’, starring Jason Statham as Adam Clay. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release in mid-January 2027.

Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto has taken over the helm from David Ayer. The plot involves Clay confronting a rogue faction of the Beekeeper organization that is attempting to seize government control and target the President of the United States.

Returning cast members include Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave. New additions to the cast include Pom Klementieff, Yara Shahidi, and Adam Copeland.

A red band teaser trailer has since been released for the sequel. The film continues the continuity of the 2024 original, which earned approximately $160 million. The teaser confirms the return of Jeremy Irons as Wallace Westwyld and Emmy Raver-Lampman as FBI Agent Verona Parker.

A new trailer has since been released, confirming a specific theatrical release date of January 15, 2027. The narrative details indicate the secretive group has gone rogue with members seeking ‘complete control’ of the government. Jeremy Irons returns as Wallace Westwyld, who warns Clay of the conspiracy, while Pom Klementieff will portray a new character in a position of authority within the organization.
