Developments: 2. Reports emerged suggesting that the wrestling faction The Hurt Syndicate, comprising Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin, had resisted certain creative directions in AEW. Specifically, journalist Sean Ross Sapp noted instances where the group allegedly did not want to ‘put people over,’ which coincided with a decline in their television appearances following the All In event in August. In response, MVP issued a denial, characterizing the allegations as ‘blatant lies.’ He disputed claims of backstage heat and disagreements over match outcomes, asserting instead that the group was interested in working with younger talent. MVP specifically cited their willingness to return the AEW World Tag Team Championships to Private Party as evidence against the rumors, further labeling the claims as ‘bulls**t.’ The faction has remained largely absent from AEW programming since the August event. Amidst this hiatus, Bobby Lashley shared a social media update featuring an intense workout with the caption ‘Getting ready!’, though no official return date has been announced. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Sherilyn Guerrero to make professional wrestling debut Sherilyn Guerrero, daughter of Eddie Guerrero, will make her professional wrestling debut on November 14 following a ring confrontation with Mystii Marks. 11 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/mvp-denies-rumors-regarding-the-hurt-syndicate-in-aew ### 2026-10-22: The Hurt Syndicate reportedly resists losing matches in AEW Reports indicate The Hurt Syndicate members have resisted losing matches in AEW, leading to speculation regarding their recent absence from television and fan calls for their release. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/the-hurt-syndicate-reportedly-resists-losing-matches-in-aew --- Cite as: The Hurt Syndicate AEW creative rumors.
