Cultural programming in Spain and Mexico continues to feature diverse theatrical formats. In Spain, CentroCentro’s ‘Microescena’ cycle has showcased short productions like ‘El sueño’ and ‘La piedra’. In Valencia, Teatro Círculo is presenting ‘Kodokushi’ from October 8 to 18, a production exploring the concept of ‘lonely death’ through movement.

In Mexico, the 23rd Zacatecas International Street Theater Festival (FITC) continues its run through October 23. Organized by the Instituto Zacatecano de Cultura ‘Ramón López Velarde’, the event features 300 artists from 30 local and international companies. Recent programming includes the French company Gratte Ciel performing ‘RoZéO: L’Oscillation du paysage’, a contemporary circus piece utilizing 10-meter poles to evoke natural landscapes. Local participants such as DementeNmente Teatro are also involved in the festival.

Additionally, the 22nd edition of the Poetry in High Voice Festival (Poesía en Voz Alta) is being held in Mexico City’s Chapultepec Forest. Directed by Cinthya García Leyva, the event, titled ‘Todavía un resonar’, explores the connection between the voice, the body, and public space through music, performance, and videopoetry.
