New theatrical productions have been announced in Austria and Germany. In St. Stefan ob Stainz, Thomas Sobotka is organizing a project at the Stieglerhaus featuring four plays by Anton Chekhov, including ‘The Seagull’ and ‘Uncle Vanya’. 

In Berlin, the Kulturzentrum Brotfabrik will host a new format by the ensemble Theater ohne Probe titled ‘Durch die Wand – Politisch. Episch. Improvisiert.’ set for September 2026. This production uses improvisational techniques inspired by Brechtian epic theater and allows audience members to contribute political or personal topics to the narratives.
