The town of Badolato, Calabria, hosted the “Ve. De. Re. - Vetrina Delle Residenze” from October 1 to 4, 2026. This event served as a showcase for theatrical residency programs in the region, organized by CReA (Centro di Residenza della Calabria) with support from the Ministry of Culture and the Calabria Region.

A component of the event, the “Residenze al Sud” meeting, brought together theatrical residencies from Southern Italy to discuss artistic sustainability, regional funding models, and the creation of shared networks between local territories and public administrations.

During the program, choreographer Maya Oliva presented her work, ‘In perpetual blooming, despite the gods’, at the Teatro Comunale di Badolato. The performance, which focused on the energetic charge of an opera prelude, was a result of artistic studies developed during residencies at the Centro di Residenza Artistica della Calabria.
