Between August 12 and 14, 2026, thieves targeted the ‘Gente di Cuore’ social dental clinic in Viterbo, Italy. The perpetrators forced entry by damaging the facility’s entrance door. Stolen items included an administrative computer and a specialized IT device connected to radiographic equipment, which is essential for dental examinations.

The clinic, managed by the association ABC – Adulti e Bambini con Cardiopatie ODV, provides free dental services and prosthetics to vulnerable individuals and low-income families. Sandro Marenzoni, president of the association, expressed deep disappointment regarding the incident. 

Following the theft, local council member Luisa Ciambella described the act as a ‘wound to the community’s volunteer network’ and called for solidarity to restore operations. The Municipality of Viterbo has expressed support to help the clinic resume its services while local authorities investigate.
