In late 2026, Ikebukuro, Japan, is hosting a series of themed exhibitions and festivals. Starting October 9, Sunshine City is hosting a large-scale Gashapon event focused on travel, while Ikebukuro PARCO is holding a ‘SONIC the Exhibition -ACROSS GENERATIONS-’ to mark the 35th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Following these exhibitions, the Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival and Toshima Street Fes 2026 are scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 1. A collaborative event titled ‘IKEBUKURO HALLOWEEN BOUNCE!’ will be held at the Animate Theater on November 1, featuring live musical performances, DJ stages, and runway shows. To assist international attendees, organizers are implementing multilingual support through translation devices and real-time audio translation via smartphone.
