Thessaloniki is hosting various events focused on the food and agricultural sectors. In early October, the 17th annual Honey Festival was held at the AUTH park, organized by the Thessaloniki Beekeeping Association and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The festival featured laboratory-tested Greek honey to ensure authenticity and provided educational resources regarding beekeeping.

Following this, the FoodTech Hackathon 2026 was scheduled for mid-November as part of the FOOD & DRINKS Expo. This event, co-organized by the Region of Central Macedonia and the National Bank of Greece, focuses on transforming innovative ideas into business solutions within the FoodTech, FinTech, CleanTech, and energy sectors.
