Organized by the public broadcaster ERT, the event is scheduled for February 2027 and will feature three live nights, consisting of two semi-finals and a grand final. Under the competition rules, up to 20 songs will compete in the semi-finals, with public voting advancing 12 artists to the final. The winner will be determined by a combination of public and jury votes. The winning artist will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest in Burgas, Bulgaria, in May 2027. ERT noted that moving the national final to Thessaloniki reflects a commitment to sharing major cultural and entertainment events with the entire country. Song submissions are open until November 1, 2024, and Elias Kokotos has been named Show Supervisor for the 2027 contest in Bulgaria. Recent updates indicate that the Thessaloniki Concert Hall (Megaro Mousikis) is identified as the most likely venue for the festivities. The selection process is expected to be broadcast live via ERT and the ERTFLIX digital platform. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-20: Thessaloniki to host Greece Eurovision 2027 national final Thessaloniki will host the ‘Sing for Greece’ national final in February 2027 to select Greece's Eurovision entry. 6 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/thessaloniki-to-host-greece-eurovision-2027-national-final ### 2026-10-16: Thessaloniki to host Greece’s Eurovision 2027 national final Thessaloniki will host the ‘Sing for Greece’ national final in February 2027 to select the country's Eurovision entry. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/thessaloniki-to-host-greeces-eurovision-2027-national-final --- Cite as: Thessaloniki hosting Greece Eurovision national final.
