Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou has publicly criticized the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Dimitris Kouretas, regarding a proposed Integrated Spatial Investment (ISI) project in the mountainous areas of Trikala.

Papastergiou expressed frustration over being excluded from the initial meeting, stating he was only notified twenty minutes after it had begun. The Minister also raised doubts concerning the project’s feasibility and the availability of the reported 20 million euros required for implementation. 

In a sharp verbal attack, Papastergiou urged Kouretas to “get off whatever he is riding, whether it is a bicycle or anything else,” and asserted that public works should serve the Greek people rather than regional leadership.
