The Tigres del Licey have secured significant victories during the Dominican winter baseball season.

In a preseason matchup at Estadio Cibao, the team defeated Águilas Cibaeñas 8-1. The game featured a four-run rally highlighted by a three-run home run from José Barrero, while Daniel Martínez pitched three and one-third scoreless innings. Following this, the team achieved a 14-1 victory against Gigantes del Cibao, led by Kevin Alcántara’s two home runs and Elier Hernández’s five RBIs.

Building on this momentum, the Tigres del Licey took sole possession of first place in the Dominican Winter Baseball League (LIDOM) with a 4-1 record. This followed a historic pitching performance at Estadio Francisco Micheli, where seven pitchers—Luis Gil, Randel Clemente, Alexander Cornielle, Michael Arias, Luis Frías, Wander Suero, and Jean Carlos Mejía—combined for a 3-0 no-hitter against the Toros del Este. This achievement marks only the fifth no-hitter in the history of Dominican winter baseball and the fifth in Licey’s franchise history.

Offensively, Estevan Florial contributed two RBIs during the no-hitter, including a run-scoring single in the fourth inning and a two-run double in the eighth. The shutout was completed in the ninth inning when Jean Carlos Mejía struck out Alan Castro to secure the save.

However, the team's momentum faced a setback at Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal, where Águilas Cibaeñas defeated Licey 9-4. Despite a strong performance from pitcher Albert Abreu, who allowed only one hit and recorded eight strikeouts over five scoreless innings, Licey was unable to overcome six defensive errors and a bases-loaded triple by Jorge Bonifacio.
