The Tilburg Trappers ice hockey club began their season with preseason activities and a successful start to the Oberliga Nord campaign.

In mid-September, the club hosted a Legends Game at Stappegoor to honor four departing players, an event attended by approximately 1,400 spectators. Following this event and an annual Open Day, the team concluded preseason preparations with a 3-0 victory over Corsaires de Dunkerque.

As the regular season commenced, the Trappers secured two consecutive wins to earn maximum points, including a 0-5 away victory against Herne EV Miners and an 8-2 home win against EHC Neuwied. In the match against Neuwied, new team captain Reno de Hondt scored within the first 41 seconds, contributing to a performance that saw the team score eight goals and concede none in their opening two matches. This victory also marked a return for Tilburg native Jeffrey van Iersel, who is now coaching the German side.

The team maintained their momentum through a successful weekend in late September. They defeated Füchse Duisburg 8-3 in a match featuring the return of Nardo Nagtzaam to his former club, followed by an 8-5 victory over the Hannover Scorpions.
