Actor and former dim sum chef Tin Kai-man has shared various anecdotes regarding his long-term collaboration with filmmaker Stephen Chow and his career in the Hong Kong film industry. Tin detailed his history with Chow’s Starry Sky Entertainment, noting he worked in nearly every production role over a decade and once accepted a salary reduction to avoid causing Chow to “lose face.” He also provided behind-the-scenes context for the film ‘Shaolin Soccer,’ including the removal of certain scenes and the inspiration for specific dialogue. Tin later clarified his remarks regarding director Lee Lik-chi, stating he never called Lee a “two-faced person” but instead described him as “versatile” or “smooth-dealing.” Tin also provided updates on his professional relationships, noting he continues to maintain ties with the ‘Shaolin Soccer’ cast and is assisting elderly colleague Wong Yat-fei with contract reviews. Regarding Stephen Chow, Tin mentioned that the director is currently occupied with new projects and that while Tin has participated in certain “money-making plans” with Chow, specific details should be disclosed by the director himself. ## Timeline ### 2026-09-29: Tin Kai-man clarifies comments on Lee Lik-chi and updates on Stephen Chow Film veteran Tin Kai-man clarifies he described director Lee Lik-chi as versatile rather than two-faced and provides updates on Stephen Chow’s new projects and the ‘Shaolin Soccer’ cast. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tin-kai-man-clarifies-comments-on-lee-lik-chi-and-updates-on-stephen-chow ### 2026-09-26: Tin Kai-man shares behind-the-scenes stories of Stephen Chow Actor Tin Kai-man reveals behind-the-scenes stories of working with Stephen Chow, including the origin of famous ‘Shaolin Soccer’ dialogue and why certain scenes were cut. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tin-kai-man-shares-behind-the-scenes-stories-of-stephen-chow --- Cite as: Tin Kai-man career and Stephen Chow anecdotes.
