The musical Titanique, a parody of the Titanic, premiered at the Chassé Theater in Breda amid controversy regarding the re-employment of musical director Billy Maluw. Maluw had been convicted in April 2024 for sexual misconduct involving a minor, leading critics to question the decision by producers De Graaf en Cornelissen to work with him again.

Following the premiere, two scheduled performances at the Kennemer Theater were canceled after a fire occurred in the technical installation of the Great Hall on September 30. No injuries were reported, and authorities are investigating the damage to determine when the hall can be reused.
