The government of Tlaxcala, under Governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros, has allocated more than 1.209 billion pesos toward services for people with disabilities for the 2022–2026 period. This represents a substantial increase from the 57.5 million pesos spent during the 2017–2021 period.

Funding is directed toward a network of pensions, specialized rehabilitation, infrastructure, and vocational training. A primary expenditure includes the construction and equipping of the Centro de Rehabilitación, Inclusión y Autismo de Tlaxcala (CRIAT), which cost over 631 million pesos. CRIAT is described as the first center built and operated entirely with state resources using the Teletón model.

Other investments include approximately 64 million pesos for the Centro de Capacitación para Personas con Discapacidad and over 428 million pesos to expand the Pension for the Well-being of People with Disabilities in coordination with the Mexican federal government.
