Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has announced his upcoming solo album, ‘From The Dark’, which marks his first solo studio release in 21 years. The album is scheduled for release via BMG on October 23, 2026.

As part of the album rollout, Iommi released behind-the-scenes footage for the music video of the lead single, ‘World Alone’. The track features Norwegian vocalist Jorn Lande, who also performs across the full album and shares songwriting credits on every track. The music video for ‘World Alone’ is set in a retro-future, dystopian environment centered on a character called ‘The Believer’. 

In addition to the digital release, a limited edition 7-inch vinyl single of ‘World Alone’ has been released, featuring a deluxe metallized sleeve and an instrumental B-side. The album is co-produced by Iommi and Mike Exeter and consists of eight principal tracks, with a deluxe CD edition containing two additional songs.
