The Toronto Maple Leafs have engaged in several roster management moves involving their AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies.

In late September, eight players, including Steven Lorentz and Philippe Myers, cleared waivers, allowing the organization to assign them to the Marlies to provide depth for the upcoming season.

By early October, the team recalled veteran forward Miles Wood from the Marlies to address roster gaps caused by injuries, such as defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and John Tavares taking paternity leave.
