SEGA and Creative Assembly announced the release of Total War: SHOGUN 2 – Complete Edition, scheduled for October 13, 2026. The edition bundles the original 2011 strategy game with all previous downloadable content, such as the ‘Rise of the Samurai’ and ‘Fall of the Samurai’ campaigns.

Technical updates for the release include 64-bit support, improved lighting, shadows, and textures, as well as 1440p and 4K UI scaling and ultrawide monitor support. The edition will also feature full Japanese and Chinese voice acting and text localization, modernized controls, and integrated mod support via Mod.io. Additionally, over 50 new playable minor factions will be included.

The game will be available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and GOG. Existing owners of the original game will receive all original DLC for free and are eligible for a limited-time 75% discount on the upgrade to the Complete Edition.
