In mid-October, the region hosted archaeological and paleontological events, including the XXVIII Jornadas de Arqueología y Territorio de Aljaraque and the tenth Spanish Congress of Tourist Caves and Mines (CUEVATUR). These events focused on local archaeology and the role of caves in preserving human evolution, with an emphasis on promoting sustainable subterranean tourism. Following these scientific and cultural gatherings, the Agencia Destino Huelva participated in the ‘Jornadas de Andalucía en Levante’ workshops across Murcia, Alicante, and Valencia. This promotional effort targeted the Spanish Levante market to increase business for Huelva through various segments, including rural, active, cultural, and gastronomic tourism, while supporting local small and medium-sized enterprises. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-26: Huelva promotes provincial tourism at Andalusia in Levante workshops Agencia Destino Huelva promoted its tourism offerings, including rural and gastronomic segments, to travel professionals in Murcia, Alicante, and Valencia during the Andalusia in Levante workshops. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/huelva-promotes-provincial-tourism-at-andalusia-in-levante-workshops ### 2026-10-15: Huelva hosts archaeological and paleontological heritage events Huelva will host major cultural events, including the XXVIII Archaeology and Territory Days in Aljaraque and the CUEVATUR congress in Aracena featuring paleontologist Juan Luis Arsuaga. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/huelva-hosts-archaeological-and-paleontological-heritage-events --- Cite as: Tourism and heritage initiatives in Huelva.
