Tourism initiatives in the Aoshima Beach area of Miyazaki City are expanding through various seasonal events. In September, the Miyazaki City Tourism Association announced weekend illumination events at Aoshima Shrine running from September 18 through November 29. Under the theme ‘A night where the sea, stars, and myths shine’, these events aim to increase nighttime tourism, with organizers targeting 10,000 visitors.

Additionally, the Aoshima Sun and Moon Festival is scheduled for the month of October 2026. This festival includes the Aoshima Marche food experiences, a fireworks display on October 11, the Aoshima Film Fes on October 17, and a street market with a sky lantern release on October 24.
