The upcoming Trendyol Süper Lig match between Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş has moved from the ticket release phase to a focus on the competitive stakes of the 144th rivalry meeting. Initially, ticket sales for the match at Papara Park were announced with prices ranging from 2,000 TL for goal-end stands to 25,000 TL for VIP Platinum-B seating.

As the match approaches, the focus has shifted to the league standings and team rosters. Beşiktaş enters the fixture in 4th place with 15 points, while Trabzonspor sits in 5th with 13 points. Beşiktaş is aiming to reach its 200th goal in this rivalry, while Trabzonspor seeks to equalize its total number of league victories with Beşiktaş. In league play specifically, the teams are nearly even, with Beşiktaş holding 39 victories to Trabzonspor's 38.

Both clubs are managing significant personnel challenges. Beşiktaş will be without Orkun Kökçü, who is suffering from a plantar fascia tear, and Milot Rashica, who is sidelined with a thigh strain. Trabzonspor’s roster is also depleted; Paul Onuachu, Okay Yokuşlu, and Ruslan Malinovskyi are confirmed as missing, and Melih Kabasakal is facing suspension.

As the match is scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2026, at 20:00 at Papara Park, the appointment of referee Cihan Aydın has drawn scrutiny. Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan has commented on the selection, referencing concerns regarding past officiating fairness. Historical data shows Beşiktaş holds an advantage in their 143 previous meetings with 57 wins to Trabzonspor’s 49, alongside 37 draws, though Beşiktaş has failed to win any of their last five away matches in Trabzon.
