The second annual Traditional Honey Festival was held in the Kumluca district of Bartın to celebrate the region’s certified chestnut honey.

Prior to the event, Mayor Mustafa Bozkurt announced preparations including free transportation from the Bartın city center, various giveaways such as electronic goods and livestock, and the distribution of 150 kilograms of chestnut and forest rose honey. 

During the festival, which featured a performance by singer Hande Ünsal, a local youth named Yusuf Efe Güneş made a marriage proposal to the artist using a banner. The event also included a large raffle organized by local officials, including Bartın Deputy Governor Mehmet Anıl Çolak, with prizes ranging from gold to household appliances.
