Recent reports from Germany detail several significant traffic incidents involving hit-and-run offenses and driving under the influence.

In Ingolstadt, incidents included an e-scooter rider under the influence of alcohol and medication colliding with a parked car, and a hit-and-run involving an Audi that struck a cyclist. On the A8 motorway near Merklingen, a three-vehicle collision caused approximately €90,000 in damage; the driver of a Mercedes AMG is suspected of being under the influence of drugs after allegedly attempting to force another vehicle to change lanes.

In Augsburg, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on the B 17 after an unidentified driver overtook a truck and cut in front of a car before fleeing the scene. The resulting chain reaction caused a truck to collide with other vehicles, resulting in minor injuries to a 64-year-old driver and property damage estimated in the high five-figure range.
