A series of vehicular accidents occurred on highways in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais.

In mid-September, a side-impact collision involving two passenger vehicles on the MG-010 highway resulted in three injuries. The accident, which occurred near the São Benedito neighborhood, caused one vehicle to strike a central median railing and another to roll over an embankment. Three victims, including a woman and a father with his six-year-old child, were transported to Hospital Risoleta Neves.

In early October, a truck rollover on the BR-381 highway near the Fumaça service station caused significant traffic congestion. The Federal Highway Police reported that the driver sustained injuries.
