FC Barcelona midfielder Fermín López has been the subject of significant transfer interest from several major European clubs. During the summer transfer window, Lopez reportedly rejected interest from three Premier League clubs—Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea—to remain with Barcelona. Head coach Hansi Flick has identified the 23-year-old as a “vital part of the club’s future plans.”

Interest in the player has since expanded to include Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), which has reportedly expressed interest and is prepared to exceed 100 million euros to secure his signature. In response, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has maintained that the player is not for sale. To deter potential bidding wars, the club has set a release clause of 500 million euros in López’s contract, which is active until 2031.
