European football clubs are competing for the signature of 17-year-old Philadelphia Union striker Malik Jakupović. Borussia Dortmund has shown long-standing interest, having previously submitted bids between €2 million and €3 million that were rejected by the MLS club.

Chelsea FC has recently joined the race for the 1.91-meter tall forward, though the London club is currently monitoring his development rather than initiating formal negotiations. Other major clubs interested in the American youth international include RB Salzburg, VfB Stuttgart, and AS Monaco.

The Philadelphia Union maintains a strong negotiating position because Jakupović is under a long-term contract running until 2030. The club has indicated they are seeking a transfer fee in the double-digit millions.
