Cagliari striker Paul Mendy has emerged as a significant transfer target for several major Italian football clubs due to his physical presence and tactical versatility. Initially, reports highlighted interest from AC Milan, noting his ability to provide balance and defensive work rate despite his role as a central forward.

Interest has since expanded to include Inter Milan and Lazio. Inter Milan’s sporting director, Dario Baccin, has reportedly positioned the club as a frontrunner following scouting missions. While major clubs are monitoring the 17-year-old Senegalese player, Cagliari has maintained a firm stance, indicating they do not intend to sell Mendy during the January transfer window and prefer to revisit negotiations in June.
